A Fun Family Weekend

The sun was out this weekend for a change so we tried to get out even though it was chilly! On Saturday we went shopping with Grandma and Papa and rode in Papa's big truck. That was fun! Then on Sunday we spent some time playing outside before our Sunday dinner out at their house. Our friends even came over to play for a little bit and Papa gave my buddy Ben and I a ride on his new tractor. I think all three of boys were in heaven!

Enjoying our chocolate milk after church on Sunday
Just love the sun shining through the windows
Papa and I
The boys! So fun!! I think Ben and I are going to start encouraging our parents to get some property and of course a tractor or two!
What better way to end a fabulous weekend than stories with my dada?

School and a Visit from Cousin

We had a busy, fun week! Sissy was sick towards the beginning but luckily she got better quickly so we could go to school with Mama and prepare for Saint Valentine's Day! I really enjoyed playing with the big kids and was such a good boy, so luckily I'll get to go back to school soon. I got to paint more than once this week, mom must have been feeling brave. Our friends Jude, Elijah, and Therese came over to make Valentines and learn about Saint Valentine himself. We ended the week with a visit from Cousin Maggie...Hooray! It was so great to see her and her mom and dad. We had dinner and then decorated cupcakes for dessert, yummy!

Still trying to figure out which hand works better
Yellow one there makes 4! I'm a big help here!
Playing Mancala with Colby
Playing drums with my new friend...I can make anything into a drum!!
Sissy had to join the fun!
Pushing Maggie on my truck
Yummy!
The girls were still decorating their cupcakes and mine was devoured
"Nother One" Please??
What do you mean I can't have another one?
I guess I'll just eat the wrapper
My cute cousin...she was happy too!
Pure concentration here
Ahhh...the way I always like to end my day (and a special one)...stories! Thanks Uncle Kevin for reading to me!!

Popcorn

One of my favorite foods is popcorn, although I have to say that it is still behind frozen waffles. Anyway, I got to go to school with mama on Friday, so I got to enjoy popcorn and a movie with the big kids! Also, I got to chow on popcorn yesterday while watching the Super Bowl with dad. Mmm....how I love popcorn!!

Trains and Trip

I think I wrote before how much I love trains but here are two of my recent experiences with them. The first is the little train we have at the local mall. I had tried last week to go ride it with my papa but it was closed or broken?? Well, last weekend I went on a ride with my dada (sissy didn't want to ride). I waved at everyone when we drove around but didn't want to stop for picture opportunities. The next was a trip down to the Children's Museum in Burlington. They had a lot of really great things there but one of my favorites was the train table, which was where I got the train that I carried around with me for the rest of our time there. I also liked the sand and was able to play with the train in there too!

I choose the blue car (but really wanted in the front engine)
Let's go conductor
Even my dada liked the train ride
My buddy Ben loved the balls at the museum, this was his favorite even though we did have fun playing at the train table together
To busy to look at the camera
The crane was ok, but I have to get back to those trains
This was great!

Just a Quick Update

Well, it is January in Washington, need we say more?? This morning we sang all the rain songs including Mr. Golden Sun. Guessing it worked because after church this morning it stopped raining and we were able to get outside. I have been battling another cold but I think it is on its way out, which makes us all happy. Recently I have been doing all kinds of boy things including climbing on everything and loving my trains, tractors, and dinosaurs.

I just love my pillow pet I got from the Gonnellas for Christmas! (P.S. His name is Scruffy and he has a certain place in my bed where he sleeps with me every day and night!)
Just me enjoying a snack
Yummy...Veggie Booty!
Ok, more pictures of me at the beach....my favorite place! Notice the train that rarely leaves my hand!
I could literally throw rocks for hours!
Serious concentration
Whooo Hooo!
No trip out the front door is complete without racing to the mud puddle to play and jump around in

Books and the Beach

My two absolute favorite things lately...books and the beach! I woke up today and said, "Beach" multiple times. It is great we live so close to explore such a cool place! I also must take after my sissy in my love for books. You will find me looking at books throughout the house at any given time!

Decided this was a good place to read this one...
And here...
And my favorite spot!
I love to collect sticks but with these gloves it can be a real challenge!
Throwing rocks is fun too!
Exploring these big logs. The tide has been soo high lately!
Fishing! Do you think I will catch a big one?
